Cottage & Guest Houses (B&B) 'La Chaiserie'

The village of Romeries, near Solesmes, is located in the North of France, in the junction of three territories :  Cambrésis (Cambrai area), Avesnois (Avesnes sur Helpe area) and Hainaut (Valenciennes area). The village of Romeries is located in the valley of the Harpies Creek which flows into the Ecaillon, a tributary of Escault river.

The old farms, the church, the castle give it a pleasant and authentic lifestyle.

It is in the village of Romeries that the cottage and guest houses 'La Chaiserie' offers the possibility to spend pleasant moments and relax yourself in contact with nature and animals.

This house is named after its past: an old chair factory.

'La Chaiserie' offers one 6 people cottage  and three guest rooms. In operation since 2003, cottages and guest houses were renovated in 2007 and 2010 and in 2016 two new rooms were created to welcome you into the greatest comfort.

The most anticipated of the year is undoubtedly the famous event "bloaters throwing" (see video below), tradition inherited from the Middle Age that continues every first Monday of Lent. At the stroke of noon, two quintals of bloasters are skillfully thrown from the balcony of the Town Hall to the impatient public and the melee begins.
